RAGHAVAN BHOGAIAH EDUCATION
Raghavan Babu Bhogaiah has completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA), with a focus on Finance and Accounting. His educational background has given him a strong foundation in financial management, accounting, business decision-making and organizational leadership.
He completed his schooling at Sri Sathya Sai Baba School, an educational environment associated with the values of discipline, character, service and leadership.
His academic background in finance and accounting is particularly relevant to municipal government, where responsible budgeting, financial oversight and effective use of taxpayers' money are important responsibilities for a city councillor.

Raghavan Babu Bhogaiah has built his family life in Mississauga, where he has lived for decades. He is a devoted husband and the proud father of two sons.
His family has grown up as part of the Mississauga community, giving Raghavan a personal connection to the city and the experiences of local families. As a husband and father, he understands the importance of safe neighbourhoods, good schools, reliable transportation, recreational opportunities and a strong community environment for families.
His long-standing residence in Mississauga has also given him an opportunity to see how the city has changed and grown over the years. His decision to seek a seat on City Council reflects his desire to contribute to the community where he and his family have made their home.

This was a small exercise with a bigger message:
Experience and specialized knowledge matter.
Financial statements, budgets, and municipal books require financial knowledge and the ability to understand what the numbers really mean.
Whether someone is an actor, police officer, lawyer, or professional in another field, they may not be able to properly interpret financial books without the appropriate education or experience.
With 17 years of accounting experience, I understand the importance of looking beyond the surface and asking the right financial questions.
When it comes to managing your tax dollars, experience matters.
How will your architectural and design experience benefit the community?
Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving
In today’s increasingly digital world, critical thinking is essential to improving existing systems, designing better solutions, and delivering faster and more efficient outcomes.
Raghavan has experience using critical thinking to design complex banking products and create detailed blueprints and processes. His work has contributed to banking systems that are currently operating successfully in Canada.
This experience has taught him how to understand complex problems, identify opportunities for improvement, design practical solutions, and turn ideas into systems that work.
Raghavan believes Ward 5 deserves the same approach: thoughtful analysis, practical solutions, and results that make a difference.

Address road conditions, traffic concerns, lighting, sidewalks, snow clearing, and neighbourhood safety.

Make sure residents are heard, informed, and able to get timely responses to local concerns.
3. Responsible Use of Tax Dollars
Support practical spending, transparency, accountability, and value for every taxpayer dollar.
4. Stronger Local Representation
Bring Ward 5 residents' concerns directly to City Hall and follow through until issues are addressed.
5. A Ward 5 That Works for Everyone
Focus on families, seniors, young people, businesses, homeowners, renters, and the many communities that make Ward 5 strong.

Ward 5 is one of the most vibrant, hard-working, and economically vital communities in Mississauga. Yet for too long, our neighborhoods have borne the brunt of regional growth—absorbing 100% of the noise, traffic, and structural wear from Canada’s largest airport—while City Hall takes the revenues generated here and spends them elsewhere.
It is time for a counselor who will demand our fair share. I RAGHAVAN BABU BHOGAIAH running for City Council to deliver Accountable Local Leadership and ensure that Ward 5 is never left behind again.
My vision for our community is built on six clear, actionable pillars:

A Safe and Well-Maintained Community: I will fight to legally lock a fixed percentage of Pearson Airport’s PILT funds into a dedicated Ward 5 Infrastructure and Community Fund to fix our local roads and community centers. We will also implement modern 360-degree CCTV security networks and speed up City Hall's response times to your local concerns.

Cleaner, Stronger Neighbourhoods — Promote effective bylaw enforcement and work closely with residents to maintain clean, welcoming communities.

Reliable and Accessible Transit — Improve public transit reliability and accessibility to help reduce traffic congestion and make commuting easier.
